I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I found mine on sale via Cettire and snagged them that way!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
What’s the price?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also go with everything.
